General Policies
Admissions
The Children's Montessori Center will accept children between the ages of 18 months and 5+ years, depending on the location of the school. No child shall be denied enrollment based on race, creed, or color. Children are accepted on a first come, first served basis, at any time during the school year, providing there is space. The child's space is comfirmed upon receipt of a yearly registration fee and a deposit that is one half of one month's tuition. This is a security deposit that will be applied to the last month of enrollment Two weeks notice is required in the event the child is withdrawn from the school or the deposit is forfeited.
Hours and Transportation
Our Montessori School is open M & F 9:30 - 12, TWTh 9:30 - 2:30.
Parents may choose a two, three, four or five day schedule, AM or PM.
The school will be open the Monday after Labor Day to the second Friday in June.
It will be closed the following Holidays: Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day & Friday following, December 22 - January 2, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day and Mid-Winter Vacation, Spring Vacation and Memorial Day.
Specific dates will be announced and will generally follow the local Public School Calendar.

Security
We want all our children to be safe during their stay with us, therefore, the doors are kept locked. When you come to visit, please knock on our door. If we are all in the classroom and can not hear you, please come to the classroom door where we will let you in.
Conferences
Regular Parent-Teacher Conferences are held twice a year and at other times upon request. Appointments must be made by parents for these other times with the teachers.
Nutrition
Snacks will be offered to the children during class time. If your child has any special allergies it should be noted on your child's additional information form.
Birthday Parties
Please let your child's teacher know when you will be bringing in a special snack for your child's birthday. We recommend small cupcakes or munchkins, they are much easier for the children to handle and there is no unnecessary waste. If you would like to leave your camera, we will be happy to take pictures for you.
Summer School
Children do not stop developing in the Summer!
We offer our Summer Program :: June - July from 9:30 - 12:30 TWTh, exact dates to be announced yearly.
