Method and Philosophy
Dr. Maria Montessori's Method and Philosophy of early childhood development. Her early observations of children have led to many of the current day trends and commonly accepted Developmentally Appropriate Practices of Early Childhood Education. Modern day interpretations such as Social Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, Creative Intelligence and Multiple Intelligences all have a direct alignment with Dr. Montessori’s observations and conclusions of human brain development.
Her conclusions remain true and accurate to this day. Many parents are questioning the quality of today’s Educational Experience. In addition to meeting your child’s social, emotional, creative and intellectual needs now, our Montessori School will give your child the foundation they will use continually in their school experience and later life. We look forward to you allowing us the opportunity to work with your child towards their success!

Is Montessori Education For Your Child?
Children have benefited from the Montessori Method of Education for over 100 years. Your child will also prosper in his or her own subtle, creative way.
We believe in educating the whole child by focusing on the child's willingness to accept and master new experiences. We are not concerned with your child's ability to count, identify colors or use scissors properly since we know your child will demonstrate these skills when they are ready to.
We know your child is coming to school because you sense that this is the right time. When you believe your child is ready for an experience apart from you, they will benefit and grow in this new kind of independence.

About Dr. Maria Montessori
Dr. Maria Montessori, first woman physician of Italy, became involved with education by treating children who had special needs. In 1907, she opened her first center called,"A Children's House" where she created a program filled with developmentally appropriate materials for all children. These materials provide experiences that contribute to the growth of self-motivated, independent learners.
Dr. Montessori believed that children teach themselves. She felt the goals of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from a pre-selected course of studies, but rather, to cultivate their own natural desire to learn.
The acceptance of her loving care and method of education for the children resulted in the proliferation of her world wide Montessori Teacher Training Centers. During her later years, her focus was centered around education children to promote the principles of peace.
